Any citizen of India, Foreign Citizens or NRI are eligible to apply for Aadhar Card. As Aadhar is meant to establish unique identification, anyone in India are eligible to apply for Aadhar Card and enjoy its benefits. But they must be present and go through the whole verification process in the enrollment centers. They muse be present to give their biometric and demographic info at any of the enrollment centers.
Any individual is eligible to apply for Aadhar Card. For children less than 3 years, biometric info is not required and his Aadhar card will be linked with his Guardian or Parents. And when the child turns five years old, he has to give her/his biometric info. He has to provide his biometric info again when he turns 15 years old. Children has to undergo all this process of providing biometric info as the biometric features of an individual changes with age.
